Experiential learning forms the core of my teaching practice. Engaging students in hands-on activities, real-world projects, and interactive discussions allows them to grasp concepts more profoundly. Centering pluriversal design principles, I encourage students to challenge dominant narratives and embrace multiple ways of knowing, ensuring that design solutions reflect cultural diversity and local knowledge systems.

Design thinking is not just a methodology—it is a mindset. Guiding students through the processes of empathizing, defining, ideating, prototyping, and testing nurtures adaptability, resilience, and innovation. This human-centered approach emphasizes equity and social justice, encouraging students to design solutions that address systemic challenges and create meaningful change.

Beyond technical expertise, I focus on developing transferable skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity. Equipping students with these skills prepares them to navigate complex, evolving landscapes with confidence.

Teaching must be inclusive and reflective of diverse voices. Decolonizing design education means fostering an environment where students critically engage with historical and contemporary power structures, question dominant paradigms, and co-create knowledge that is relevant to their lived experiences.
